Accessibility

Do you have any accessible rooms? caret-down

We have one room available on the ground floor called Bramble. It has a super king bed that can be twinned, walk in shower and low bath all on one level. An accessible wardrobe is also available in a spacious dressing room area. For further accessibility information, click here.

We do not, however the team are always on hand a to help you with your luggage.

Amenities

Can I order flowers and wine in advance of my stay? caret-down

Wine, Champagne, flowers and chocolates are all available to order in advance. If you’d like to order any of these items, we’d appreciate it if you give us 1 week’s advanced notice.

Check in is from 3pm and check out is at 11am.

Can I request an early check-in or late check-out? caret-down

Yes, you can always request this directly with our reservations team, who will be happy to advise on availability 

Booking

Do you require a deposit for hotel stays?   caret-down

We charge a 50% deposit. Rooms and stays booked as part of a special promotional offer should be paid in full upon booking and are non-refundable, but they can be transferred to an alternative date.

Do you require a deposit for a booking at the Fernery Restaurant? caret-down

A £50 deposit, per person, is required on booking, which will be credited to your final bill. The deposit is fully refundable if amended or cancelled up to 72 hours prior to the reservation. 

What is the cancellation policy for bookings at Grove of Narberth? caret-down

wherever possible. 

  • Cancellations made more than 14 days prior to arrival will receive a full refund of the deposit paid.
    • Cancellations made between 14 days and 72 hours before arrival will receive a credit for the full booking amount, which can be used towards a future stay at Grove, subject to availability.
    • Cancellations made within 72 hours of arrival, or in the case of a no-show, will be charged in full. 

For bookings of two rooms or more, stays of three nights or more, special events, public holidays or discounted offers, these terms will apply unless otherwise stated at the time of booking. 

What is the cancellation policy for Fernery restaurant reservations? caret-down

The £50 deposit, per person, is fully refundable if amended or cancelled up to 72 hours prior to the reservation. A cancellation fee of £50 per person will be charged for no shows, late cancellations or significant amendments with less than 72 hours notice.

A cancellation fee of £20 per person will be charged for no shows, late cancellations or significant amendments with less than 72 hours notice. There is no fee for cancellation with 72 hours notice.

Do you cater for specific dietary requirements? caret-down

All our food is prepared on the premises so we can cater for most dietary requirements with notice. Please advise our staff of any dietary requirements and allergies when booking.

Is room service offered at Grove of Narberth? caret-down

Yes, our lounge bar menu is available for Room Service between 12pm to 9pm.

Do you offer snacks or lighter meals? caret-down

Yes, our lounge bar menu offers lighter dishes and is available from 12pm to 6pm

Is there a dress code for dinner? caret-down

We’re very relaxed at Grove and our dress code is smart casual. We kindly request that no board shorts, sportswear, ripped jeans or flip flops are worn in the restaurants.

Do you offer corkage? caret-down

No, we don’t offer corkage.

Can external guests join resident guests for meal? caret-down

Yes, both the Fernery and Artisan restaurants, along with Afternoon Tea and our bar and lounge menu are open to non-residential guests. 

Do you have any private dining options at Grove of Narberth? caret-down

Yes, whatever milestone you want to celebrate, we can help you host a large get-together or hold an intimate event with the closest of friends. We know how important and personal these experiences need to be for you, so talk to our team about creating the most memorable of experiences at Grove.

Do you provide packed lunches for days out? caret-down

Yes, we can provide a packed lunch or one of our ‘great outdoors’ hampers for your day out. Our reception team can help you plan this.

Dogs

Is Grove of Narberth dog friendly? caret-down

Yes, well behaved dogs (and their owners, of course) are very welcome at Grove of Narberth. We have six dog-friendly rooms in our cottagesSignature Suite Bramble (which has an open garden); Cottage Garden Suites Sorrel and Sage (which have rear gardens) and Byre and Cwtch (which have open garden spaces); and first floor Cottage Junior Suite Elderflower (which has a ground floor terrace and garden access). 

Dog-friendly rooms must be booked directly with the reservations team, and cannot be booked online. Please get in touch via email or phone to enquire about options for dog-friendly rooms.  

We kindly request that owners are considerate and respectful of other guests, as not everyone likes dogs. The upkeep of the hotel and the grounds is also an important consideration, and a dog bin is available for your convenience in the car park.

Is there a charge for dogs? caret-down

We charge £30 per dog per night. Your dog will enjoy our doggy towels, blanket and very special treats. A doggy dining menu by Burns Real Dog Food is also available upon request.

We reserve the right to charge for any damage to the property for repair or replacement, and/or for any deep cleaning required, caused by your pet during your stay.

Families

Are the restaurants at Grove child friendly? caret-down

Children are welcome to dine in the Artisan Restaurant, and a special menu is available for them on request. We are a relaxed and intimate venue, and for the comfort of all our guests during the evening, we seat families with children before 7 pm and kindly request that the table is vacated by 8 pm. 

The Fernery restaurant welcomes children over the age of 12, but please note we do not offer a children’s menu. 

Is Grove a family friendly hotel? caret-down

Families with children of all ages are very welcome at Grove. We have plenty of outdoor games, including boules and croquet for you all to enjoy, and there are excellent local walks from the house. We’ve also created a magical fairy trail around the grounds to delight our younger guests. 

Our House Signature Suite, Daniel & Elizabeth, can be reserved along with Partridge, an adjoining twin room, to provide a Family Suite located on a private floor within the main house of the hotel. We also have a couple of rooms within the main house that can hold an extra bed. Our cottage suites lend themselves well to being reserved in pairs to give families a little extra outdoor space. Several of our cottage suites have private gardens, or you could take upstairs and downstairs cottage suites to stay close to one another. For more information on rooms suitable for families, please call our reception team directly. 

We also offer complimentary children’s teepees (subject to availability) in your room for our youngest guests, perfect for little ones to enjoy a cosy and fun space of their own. These charming teepees come with soft blankets and cushions, creating a magical hideaway where kids can read, play, or simply relax. 

 

Baby kits can also be provided on request, so that your room is equipped with travel cot (you would need to bring your own mattress and sheet for the cot), baby bath, changing mat and nappy bin.

While we don’t offer babysitting services directly, we can help you organise an external babysitter from our recommended list.

We offer a washing and ironing service for Grove of Narberth hotel guests, and our housekeeping have a 36-hour turn around on these items.

Do you offer Spa treatments at Grove of Narberth?? caret-down

Yes, we offer a selection of in room treatments so that you can enjoy being pampered in the privacy of your own room. Spa treatments must be booked in advance. View the spa menu here.

Is there a gym at Grove of Narberth? caret-down

We do not have a gym on-site, but there are plenty of outdoor activities nearby for guests to enjoy. We do have e-bikes for rental during your stay, which can be booked directly with the reservations team. 

What car parking facilities are at Grove of Narberth? caret-down

We have on site car parking, including disabled parking.

We also have three universal type 2 charging points, which can charge any type 2 electric vehicle and which use 100% renewable energy. We provide a fair price for charging.

Grove is also marked as an accessible location on the map for destination charging in Pembrokeshire for the benefit of our visiting guests.

When was Grove of Narberth first opened? caret-down

Grove of Narberth first opened in 2008 as a small B&B with four bedrooms and four self-catering cottages. Through careful restoration and continued reinvestment, it has since evolved into the five-star, 25-bedroom hotel with two restaurants it is today.

Grove of Narberth is owned by Neil Kedward and Zoe Kedward, founders of the Seren Collection, a group of award-winning Welsh hospitality venues.

We are a short 20 minute drive away from Tenby and Saundersfoot where you can join the coastal path.

Rooms

Do your rooms have extra spaces for sofa beds? caret-down

We have double sofabeds in a several suites. There is an additional charge of £55 per child per night B&B and £65 per adult per night B&B. We also have a Top Floor Suite which is popular with families which links Daniel & Elizabeth and Partridge rooms together with a lockable corridor door. Please call our reservations team directly so that they can advise the most suitable option.

We have fridges and safes in all rooms.

Do you have cots? caret-down

We have a limited number of cots available, at no extra charge. Please let us know when you book if you wish to have a cot so we can advise on their availability.

What is Grove of Narberth doing to promote sustainability? caret-down

At Grove of Narberth, we integrate eco-friendly practices into everything we do, earning a Gold Award from Green Tourism UK. We source 80% of our food locally, often from our own kitchen gardens, and use renewable energy for all our electricity. We also have a biomass boiler and solar panels for energy efficiency.  

Even our spring water is sourced from our own boreholes, and we donate a portion of proceeds from water bottles to charity. Additionally, we actively recycle, compost, and support biodiversity through tree planting and wildlife ponds. We are committed to reducing our environmental impact and offer guests the option to contribute by planting a tree for each room cleaning skipped through our partnership with the Hotels for Trees Foundation.
