From the end of the M4 continue on the A48 towards Carmarthen. At Carmarthen, take the A40 towards Haverfordwest (at the roundabout signposted Tenby A477, keep on the A40 second exit). Continue to the roundabout with the A478 and take the first exit signposted to Narberth. Continue on this road into Narberth past the primary school on your right; follow the one-way system down James Street, when the road splits to go round up the High Street take the left fork down signposted towards Tenby. Drive down the hill out of Narberth and take the first right at the very bottom of the hill (you’ve gone too far if the road starts rising again). Follow this lane keeping left, past Herons Brook golf course, for 1 mile. The gates to the Grove with two large stone pillars will be on your right side.
If you’re coming from Tenby, when you get to Templeton, turn left by the Boar’s Head pub, keeping the pub on your left then you are on the “Templeton – Crosshands” road. It you’re coming from Pembroke via Carew, turn right at Canaston on to the Crosshands-Templeton road. From either direction, 1 mile down that road there is a signpost at the cross roads showing the turning to the Grove. We are approximately 1 mile down this road, on the left.
Our nearest station is Narberth, the second nearest is Clynderwen. They are on different lines (Pembroke and Fishguard) so have different timings, as the line splits at Whitland. If you wish to come by train and hire a car, we suggest getting a train to Port Talbot. Enterprise Car hire (01792 785050) in North Swansea can arrange a pick-up at the train station and then take you to their office to organise the car hire. As Pembrokeshire is such a beautiful county, it’s worth having a car here during your stay. Hiring a car in Swansea cuts out the slowest part of the train journey, Swansea to Narberth can take in excess of 1.5 hours by train, whereas it’s only 50 minutes by car. Please note that Enterprise Car Hire are not open on a Sunday.
Grove has extensive grounds in front of the house which is suitable for landing a helicopter. Please call us in advance of your arrival date if you intend to come via helicopter.
