We’re incredibly honoured to announce that Grove of Narberth has been named Independent Hotel of the Year at the 2024 Independent Hotel Show in London. This prestigious award recognises the hard work, passion, and dedication that our entire team puts into creating unforgettable experiences for our guests.

The Independent Hotel Show is a celebration of excellence within the boutique and luxury hotel industry, and the Independent Hotel of the Year award is a true mark of distinction. It recognises those hotels that offer not just a place to stay, but a space that reflects thoughtfulness, creativity, and a deep connection to their surroundings. At Grove, this ethos is at the heart of everything we do, and we are beyond proud to have been recognised in this way.

Karen de Koning, our General Manager, reflected on the achievement: “This award is a reflection of the spirit and heart of our team. Every day we strive to create a welcoming and peaceful haven for our guests, and to have that effort recognised at such a respected event is incredibly rewarding.”

We would also like to congratulate the other incredible hotels that were shortlisted alongside us, including Galgorm, Gilpin Hotel & Lake House, Homewood Bath, LEVEN Manchester, The Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa, Seaham Hall, South Place Hotel, The Grove (Hertfordshire), and Tottington Manor. Each of these venues represents the very best of independent hospitality, and we are honoured to have been considered alongside such remarkable hotels.

Winning Independent Hotel of the Year is a moment we are deeply proud of, and we couldn’t have done it without the support of our wonderful guests, our dedicated team, and the local community.

Karen and Executive Chef Douglas Balish attended the event and were there to recieve the award on behalf of the entire team.
