Storytelling Boat Trip with Falcon Boats caret-down

Myth and marine life meet on the waters of Ramsey Sound. This one-of-a-kind boat trip blends Pembrokeshire’s folklore and wildlife in a setting of rare natural beauty. Led by Falcon Boats, the voyage welcomes two award-winning talents aboard: artist and author Jackie Morris and marine biologist and writer Nicola Davies.

Embark on a self-guided adventure with one of our premium electric hybrid bikes, ideal for experiencing Pembrokeshire’s countryside at your own pace. Whether you follow shaded woodland trails or glide towards panoramic coastal views, every route is designed to reveal the region’s quiet charm.

In collaboration with Volt, the UK’s leading e-bike brand, our cycles offer smooth, powerful assistance and a generous range of up to 60km per charge. The Grove team has curated three scenic routes tailored to a range of interests:

  • Forest & River Trail: A shaded loop through Canaston Woods and along the Cleddau Estuary, perfect for birdwatchers and nature lovers.
  • Castle & Countryside Route: A peaceful journey past Llawhaden Castle and through patchwork farmland and charming rural hamlets.
  • Coastal Escape Ride: A winding back-lane trail to the sea, ideal for those wishing to pause for a beachside picnic.

Helmets provided (medium sized) although you’re welcome to bring your own for a personalised fit. Picnics can be arranged in advance. Pre-booking is highly recommended during peak season.

Golf Day at Tenby Golf Club caret-down

Enjoy a timeless round on Wales’s oldest links at Tenby Golf Club, just 25 minutes from Grove. Recognised as the birthplace of Welsh golf, the 18-hole course winds through sandy dunes with sweeping views of Carmarthen Bay and Caldey Island.

Perfect for players of all levels, the course offers fast, true greens and rewarding play. The sandy soil allows for excellent drainage, making it playable year-round.

Facilities include a pro shop, trolley hire, and dining at The Links restaurant or 19th Hole bar. Club hire and advance booking are required. ​

Note: Golfers are required to adhere to the club’s dress code: standard golf attire is expected on the course, and smart casual clothing is appropriate in the clubhouse. Proper golf shoes must be worn on the course.

Embark on a hands-on coastal journey with renowned Pembrokeshire forager Craig Evans and his trusty golden retriever, Llew. With a lifelong passion for marine life and coastal ecology, Craig offers foraging experiences that delve into the rich biodiversity of Pembrokeshire’s intertidal zones. Learn to identify and harvest wild seaweeds, herbs, and shellfish along Pembrokeshire’s dramatic shores.

Each 6-7 hour course ends with an open-fire cookout on the beach, where your gathered ingredients are transformed into a wild feast, cooked over a handcrafted Solva Stove —a unique experience that captures the essence of coastal living. ​

Velfrey Vineyard Tour and Tasting caret-down

Just six miles from Grove lies Velfrey Vineyard, a multi-award-winning, family-run estate nestled among the rolling hills of Lampeter Velfrey. Specialising in still and sparkling wines, this boutique vineyard is a testament to the region’s emerging viticulture, producing elegant wines that reflect the character of the land.

Your experience begins with a relaxed guided walk through the vineyard, learning how the vines are cultivated and harvested from the estate owners themselves. With over 4,000 vines thriving on gentle, south-facing slopes, you’ll gain an insider’s understanding of the journey from grape to glass.

The visit culminates with a tasting of their current vintage in the intimate visitor centre. For those wishing to linger longer, a Welsh grazing board can be added to the experience, offering local cheeses, charcuterie, chutneys, and freshly baked breads – a perfect pairing for the wine.

Tours take place on Thursdays and Saturdays from April to October and are subject to availability. Please pre-book grazing boards with 72 hours’ notice.
